Fox Business Libertarian Debate Details Announced

The Libertarian Party has announced new details for the upcoming Libertarian debate hosted by Fox Business. Below is their official press release and if you want to attend the debate, then make sure you request your free ticket.

Dear Libertarian,

It’s official!

There will be a debate of Libertarian presidential candidates on TV this year!

Many thanks to John Stossel and FOX Business Network for making this happen. A nationally televised debate is long overdue and we are delighted that it is finally happening.

You may be aware that the Libertarian National Committee and Our America Initiative are currently suing the Commission on Presidential Debates for equal access. Such a lawsuit takes time. The Commission is biased because it is controlled by the Republican and Democratic parties. They are clearly scared to have our nominee on the stage debating theirs! We will update you as this lawsuit progresses.

Justice is slow in coming. But, when it makes progress, we must celebrate…and spread the word!

So please help us spread the word about the upcoming debate on FOX Business Network.

It will be filmed on March 29 and aired on April 1.

We’ll update you on key details such as the time it airs as these details become available.

A limited number of free tickets are available. To request them, email stosseltix@foxbusiness.com.

As always, thank you for your support!!

Wes Benedict
Executive Director

This is a joke, right? Macafee is murderer and his software sucks. I swear to God I thought this was an Onion link.

    • Daddyfatsax

He hasn’t been involved with mcafee software for over a decade. Typical asu scumdevil. Read a book.

  • LibertyBell2

Why is the idiot Austin Peterson in the middle?

    • Bob_Robert

He’s the establishment shill this time around.

  • William Dail

Taped and not live like the other debates?

    • James M. Ray

Yes, that was what I noticed. Nobody has said WHY this should be yet, and I see no good reason for it & suspect many bad things may happen because Fox “News” has already shown statist-not-liberal bias for over a decade (see Ron Paul coverage, for but ONE example!) and therefore they can not be trusted.

Can ANYONE help Mr. Dial here & me with a reason (I’ll even take an excuse, if it’s creative enough to pass the Laugh Test!) for this delay?? Thanks in advance.

      • Well first of all Fox News ahs proven it cannot run a debate; megyn Kelly, Bret Baier and Chris Wallace run every prime time debate FNC has and why, because they do not want to give others like Sheppard Smith, Martha MacCallum, Bill Hemmer, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Greta Van Susteren or any others a chance to shine.

Note the CEO of Fox News Roger Ailes has told people he’s lost confidence in Rubio’s ability to win. “We’re finished with Rubio,” Ailes recently told a Fox host. “We can’t do the Rubio thing anymore.”

They are playing politics and thus unable to be trusted not to be bias just like the rest of the lame stream media. In fact to prove my point; last Sunday CNN asked Donald trump about the alleged endorsement by David Dukes (the racist former KKK leader) which Donald Trump disavowed the endorsement of David Dukes, which the so called media pounced on but failed to reduce Trump’s rise in the polls and his going on to be the nominee.

I as a journalist in the alternative media (FIREFOXNEWS ONLINE™) proved CNN DID IN FACT LIE, I aired on my internet broadcast an audio clip of Dukes stating he never endorsed Trump, he did say he would vote for Trump (and that is also NOT an endorsement) but stated he would not endorse Trump…

So not just Fox News but ALL of the lame stream media is failing to hide their bias, so as for this taped debate, it does not shock nor surprise me they did it this way, they did not want people to see it much less know they even did this at all.

Hope that helps explain things a bit…

Thanks. I’ve also heard Stossel stutters.

        • Libertarian46

You may be right about FOX for the most part, but Stossel is a Libertarian and runs his show as such. In his book, he claims that FOX is the only network that allowed him to run his shows as he saw fit.

      • Libertarian46

Fox News may largely be a Republican network, but John Stossel is definitely not! Stossel is a very Libertarian show and I have no doubt that John will do this debate right. If you haven’t watched his show before, you can catch some of his slightly older, but still relevant, episodes here:

I’m familiar with his work. I just don’t like the idea of limiting “us” to this few candidates when other parties get more. Why should they get more than 3 if we get only 3?? Also, it’s a bit disrespectful to put it on April 1, IMO, but I’m used to counter-dissing Fox, so maybe I’m oversensitive…Or maybe THEY’RE oversensitive!

You have to realize, this isn’t a debate that was setup in the same format that the other two parties have been doing. This debate only exists because John Stossel decided to include it as part of his show. Being that his show is only an hour long, it makes sense that he picked who he saw as the top 3 candidates to be part of it.

Easy. Because they can edit what they dont want out.

    • Libertarian46

Because it is on a TV show that does not air live. John Stossel has offered us national coverage by including this debate as part of his show.

  • gaylep

Gary Johnson should be in the center!!!

  • Socrates Wilde

Peterson shouldn’t be there at all. Darryl Perry should be there.

  • brian w

Gary johnson is by far outpolling all others so why is he listed 3rd?

  • Dave Drum

April 1st. Really? Fodder for the masses.

  • Philip K Freeman

    Invite Dr. Rand Paul

    • Except he’s not a libertarian, he’s a Republican as far as political office is concerned

    • Libertarian46

He’s nothing but a Libertarian-leaning Republican. While he is definitely more Libertarian-leaning that any other Republican running, he is NOT a Libertarian. He has supported a number of VERY anti-liberty people and causes.

  • lungshot

April 1st? More marginalization from the MSM.
